The story was pretty scary about your adventure with the guy that grew pot and had bayonets and guns..YIKES... Lucky you left there alive. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Finally got to and finished the "Colin Chronicles." The usual Flaherty brilliance...nuanced and insightful w/ several dashes of adventure...would love to catch up when you have had enough scrapple! Hey, finished up the first draft the other night and it was great. Loved it. I liked the flow of the book, the syntax and the stories were just great! It really had a voice. What a wild few months you had. Plus, it gave me a great snapshot into your life. Kind of like catching up on the last 24 years in one manuscript. Hope you have a comfortable bed and dry clothes for awhile. Sounds like R&R at the parents home? .. .. Enjoy the east coast and well done on the book! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Very funny, interesting and educational, only 1/3 of the way through, I found myself laughing………out loud. “That mean staying off the freeways and sticking to the side roads where the small towns and interesting things are.” I believe this idea to be important when marketing and presenting the book. What I mean is traveler interact with other travelers 99% of the time, you on the other hand met real people living their daily lives throughout the nation. I believed the best humor is about people’s daily lives, things that everyone can relate too. It is the kind of book you do not want to put down. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. This is enjoyable, you've got a good eye, and many a reader (like me) will hearken back to their youthful hitchhiking days. Bottom line: Potential. OK Colin- I am totally entertained. Keep it coming! Ive been reading your book .. I really like it ...
